Outreach and Handcrafts Initiators for Development (OHID) is a refugee led organisation registered as a Community Based organisation (CBO) which works directly with refugees in Rwamwanja Refugee Settlement and neighboring host community. OHID provides education and help community members to learn about modern farming, rearing, financial inclusion management and financial discipline, acquiring Handcrafts Skills, learning different languages to enable them break down barriers of being jobless because of not knowing different languages including English, expose community members to all available opportunities to gain chances and fight poverty by improving their wellbeing.

OHID is a non profit organization created in 2020. OHID was established by refugees and managed by refugees. OHID as a Community Based organisation which gives support to fellow refugees and neighboring host community to build their meanings and hope, supports refugees to improve their self-efficacy and become self-reliant and resilient. Ohid intervenes in diverse aspects such as (livelihoods activities, Handcrafts Skilling, language learning for adults) and other.

Outreach and Handcrafts Initiators for Development (OHID) has been proudly providing high contributions to fellow refugees as a way of supporting them or one another to reach goals set, OHID objective is to continue providing adequate support without ceasing; teaching, motivating, sensitising community members to discover their potentialities and work towards achieving their goals.
